the little things
Jazz is my hero! He just is so considerate and thoughtful. I really don't know what I did before he was in my life. Just tonight my stupid TV was doing Spanish subtitles again.. I don't know what it happens but it just does. So I called my IT guy who happens to be my fiance, and he knew exactly what to do. In like three seconds the subtitles were turned off and I was able to finish the Bachelor in normal english sounds. I am so lucky that he takes such good care of me. agh I can't wait for June 14th to come!

Spring is here
Ok so-- so much stuff has happened in the last couple of weeks! Let's be organized here...
1. I made a ham. Yesterday for Easter, Jazz and I cooked an actual ham, like in the oven! We scored it and put cloves in it and then cooked it for like four hours while we were at church. We made a glaze and basted it the last like hour or so-- can I just say-- it was so tasty! I was so proud that we actually pulled it off. We also had jello salad and cheesy potatoes and rolls. After dinner we played chicken foot and ate Morgan's tasty strawberry pie. Overall it was a great Easter spent with the family.
2. I think last time I updated I mentioned that I misplaced my camera on our trip to California, I think I left it in the rental car. Anyway, we have been calling back every so often to see if anything was found, and they found it! They are sending it here to my apartment. I am so happy because we had some fun pictures while we were home, and now I'm just so glad we didn't lose them. Phew.
3. We registered for our wedding! We went to Macy's on Friday night and ran around the store, picking out bedding and China. Saturday we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to register for kitchen gadgets and other housewares. Jazz was so helpful with the scanner, he even snuck in a few surprise items such as a snow cone maker. It was really really fun to make our wish list for our home, but there were a lot of decisions to make! Our registries can be viewed online at www.macys.com and www.bedbathandbeyond.com- just search for our names. (Or Jazz added links in the upper right section of our blog to each wedding registry.)
4. In other wedding news...invitations have been ordered! We get to see the proof tomorrow after 4 pm, and then they will be printed within two weeks. Then we get to address them all and get them out before I leave for London. Its going to be a busy few weeks for us!
More to come.. I promise I won't wait so long to do an update. As soon as I get my camera back I will post some fun pictures from California.

Weekend Home
Our weekend in California was so fun! We left Thursday night and didn't get to my house until after midnight, so we were pretty tired. Our engagement pictures were Saturday morning- it was the most perfect sunny day, we spent about three hours running around Redding in different outfits taking pictures. Our photographer, Morgan Kennedy, has done all of our family pictures since forever- she is the best. She was so much fun. If you want to see our photos (which you do. they are so cute) go to morgankennedyphotography.com and enter the web site. Click on clients and enter our password of sumsion1. You should be able to view our whole slideshow!
It was so nice to spend time with my parents. We got to tell them all about our wedding plans show them my ring! I miss my parents- honestly I love being home. My mom is such a great host, its like being at domestic disneyland. I loved seeing my lil dog too- he is such a great cuddler, and he really likes Jazz. I'm hoping maybe someday he can come and live with us in Utah after we are married.
We took some adorable pictures- in the airport, in my backyard, of fluffs in his tuxedo-- but I lost my camera! I think I left it in the rental car (which was a very classy station wagon) but they haven't found anything. Hopefully it will turn up because I really want those photos.
I feel like we were so spoiled for four days- we got to be with eachother almost all the time. It was so hard to come back to utah and drop Jazz off- I just can't stand it. Can't we be married already?

I love to shop...
We decided to extend our stay in California, so we are leaving Thursday night to head to California. Can I just say- I am so excited! We did a lot of shopping this weekend- Jazz was such a trooper. We found some really nice shirts for him to wear in our pictures- and we also found a suit! Its a really beautiful grey suit- he looked so good in it! It will be ready in time to take with us this weekend. I love to shop, its my favorite. We also stopped by to pick up Jazz's wedding band that had come in at Shane Co. He is so cute-- he just wanted to wear it all day. Of course, I wouldn't let him wear it outside of the store (its bad luck, right?)
btw- side note. everyone needs to know about my favorite chinese place, Joy Luck on State in Sandy. Chinese food is like, my fav. Its my weakness. Its the first thing I splurge on when I want to stray off the wedding diet. Seriously we go there every week- We usually get the same exact thing- Cream Cheese Wontons, Potstickers, and Sesame Chicken. Its always really fast service, and is sooo tasty. I think I had dreams about it last night..thats why I was thinking about it. ok anyway...
Update on the fam: everyone is good. My brother Sean and his wife Rachel are going to San Deigo for the summer- he is opening a new Kaplan teaching facility down there. Scott and his wife JaNae are expecting a baby girl in May. (I get two new nieces this summer!) Sabrina is in London at the BYU center until the middle of April. Morgan is plugging along at school, doing really well. Mom and Dad are in California enjoying the 75 degree sunshine.
More to come after this weekend and our engagement pics!
